Hello Reality

Hey everyone! In case you were wondering, yes I am alive! haha And I have some stuff to update ya'll on!

First- My trip to Arizona for family camp was AMAZING! God blessed tremedously, and I met so many new friends that are so awesome. It was definitely a plus that I took along my boyfriend and home friends also. I really wanted to stay longer, but I had to come back to reality--in so many ways! I'm already anticipating next year's trip :) Hopefully I'll be able to go back!

Me and the boyfriend sportin' our camp t-shirts! :)

The Grand Canyon- I didn't go to see it, but my parents did and they
sent me this to make me jealous. It worked! It's gorgeous!
Second- While I was in Arizona, the temperature was consistently 108-110. If you just said "Holy cow" to yourself or in your mind, your reaction is appropriate! Thankfully, the camp site was completely air-conditioned, so pretty much the only time we were outside was when we had to walk from building to building (And I even broke a sweat every time we did that!) Needless to say, there was no taking a run, walk, or any other type of strenuous, calorie-burning activity while I was gone. There was a swimming pool, but we didn't have a set, scheduled time to go swimming, so that was never able to happen. (Except for one night around 11 PM when bats were flying around our heads...EEK!)

Third- Not only did I not really ave a means to exercise, but I also didn't have much of a food choice since I had to eat what they prepared for us. Both fortunately and unfortunately, all of the food was home-cooked and DELICIOUS!!! I was usually successful with keeping it healthy for my early breakfast with a cup of coffee and a granola bar. But when brunch came around, (we had brunch instead of lunch) I didn't do so well.

I figured that pretty much everyone goes through this type of thing on their vacation. (Since when is eating good food NOT part of an American vacation?) But I was still a bit disappointed in myself. No sense in staying down, though! I made plans to get right back at it as soon as I got home! Unfortunately, I was so used to eating good food whenever I wanted that I stuggled to eat healthy the next few days. I, once again, did well in the morning, but fell away once evening hit.

But guess what? This is a brand new week! And today is Motivation Monday!!! So what more perfect time than today to really start kicking butt!? I see this collage every single morning that I wake up...
It definitely shakes me back into reality and sets me back on the path of motivation! Before pictures on top, and on the bottom, soon to be replaced with new after pictures. :)

So let's all kick some butt together this week! Don't give up-I know I'm not.

<3, Linds :)
