Meet the New Guy

First of all-WELCOME BACK LINDSAY! Finally. I was really starting to miss my motivational partner! She helps me stay on track and in line. Very happy she is back.

So this post is all about a new member of my little family. So last week after work, I had an appointment to go meet a few new characters. Check 'em out...

Holy cuteness, right?

I went to see if they needed any fosters, but when I met them all and found out they were only $75 to adopt-I couldn't resist. The other thing that sold me was the Vet/Rescue. It's called Dash Rescue & they were awesome! They genuinely want to find the pups homes, but they do not make it entirely impossible for someone to adopt which most rescues do. I understand why places do home visits, etc but sometimes it feels like you're getting grilled to rescue a dog. Dash was trusting but I did sign papers so I thought it was great. Any way-which one did I choose?

Larke :) Although her name is now Tucker.

She is such a keeper. I love her to death. Lona does too :) I love my two little girls! Perk about this addition? Another workout partner! I love running with Lona so I can't wait to run with both of them! I may even have to pull out my rollerblades to see how that goes with the two of them.

I love being able to include friends and pets in on my workouts. Jon is doing solid with his weight loss. 7 pounds down! Get it babe! Super proud of him. Now it's my turn to lose more than 1 pound at a time :) I also found a new treat in my local town-Yo.m.g. It's the new frozen yogurt shop. It's super yummy and much healthier than ice cream. It's very filling as well. I'm ready to conquer the fourth of July this week, are you? Tips for the big day-Fill up on fruits and veggies. Most cookouts will have veggie trays and lots of fresh fruit. When it comes to the main entree-burgers, hot dogs, etc. Go for it! Just skip the bun. Wrap your burger in lettuce or just eat it without anything except toppings with a fork. Steer clear of mac, potato, or any other mayo filled salads. If you MUST have one of those things-REMEMBER PORTION CONTROL! It's crucial to having success on holidays. Good luck fellow Americans :)

How about a nice smoothie to cool down on these hot summer days?
