And to what do I owe this motivation surge??......2 words....CEDAR POINT.
You might be thinking, "Seriously? Cedar Point is an amusement park filled with cheese sticks, ice cream, elephant ears, churros, and more! How is that motivating??"
Well, I had that same mindset. I went into Saturday thinking, "Well, I guess I can just start again tomorrow because I know there's no way I'm gonna survive this day trying to eat healthy." And I won't lie and say that I did eat healthy because I definitely had some frozen custard. But all throughout the day, I was horrified over and over and over again by the men and women that I saw in the park. If you've been to any amusement park, you know that half of the people walk around half-naked. And 3/4 of that hald that walk around half-naked should NEVER be showing what they have. I saw fat person after fat person in their bikinis, tank tops, and butt shorts.
Now, I know this makes me sound like a cruel and harsh person, but that's not my point at all. While I was seeing all of those people at the park, I told myself that if I didn't start to change now, and if I continued to just let myself slip over and over again, then I was going to end up like those people! (Not wearing the bikinis or butt shorts of course.) Right then and there I changed my mind and told myself that I wouldn't continue to cheat ever day anymore!
Not only did the fat people affect me, but the healthy-looking, in-shape people did too--the OTHER half of the half-naked crowd. Most of them looked happy and full of energy--even after walking like 8 miles during the day. I decided that that's how I want to feel and be. Happy, full of energy, and healthy-looking! It's so much more fun than being out of breath, sweaty, in pain, and miserable like the other half of that crowd.
So---need a motivation booster? Go to an amusement park! haha.
Besides all of that, I had an AWESOME time at the park. We had fast lane passes, so we got on every ride within like 20 minutes! We had pretty much gone on all of the rides by 2 o'clock! That has to be a record! The best part was that my friend from California was in the group I went with, and she had never been to Cedar Point-home of the biggest roller coaster! So it was alot of fun to see her reaction to all of the rides and experience it with her. Of course, the biggest- the Dragster- was her favorite. :)
Here's some pictures of the trip!
